Gus Macker Returns to the Valley: A Slam Dunk for Buhl Park

In 2024, Gus Macker made a thrilling return to the Shenango Valley after a decades-long hiatus, drawing 104 teams and 411 players from 12 different states. With 8 food trucks, a slam dunk contest, a 3-point competition, 118 volunteers, and 21 sponsors, the event was a huge success, welcoming over 3,000 attendees.

For 2025, we’re aiming even higher! Buhl Park sets the stage for a weekend full of recreation and fun. Players wearing wristbands get half-price admission to the pool, plus everyone has the chance to play on the nation’s only free 9-hole golf course. Snappy’s Floatin’ Boats will offer kayak, paddle board, pedal boat, and canoe rentals to explore Lake Julia. To wrap up the weekend, don’t miss the Free Summer Concert Series on Sunday at 6 PM, featuring 4 Kings and A Queen, playing hits from the '60s to today!
