The motto for this year’s Gus Macker Iron Mountain weekend is THINK BIG. A goal has been set for the Iron Mountain 3on3 basketball tournament to register 500 teams, 200 sponsors and 300 volunteers. The July 20-21 Macker IM weekend will be a memorable event with special ‘happenings’ – photos being taken with Scott McNeal (Gus Macker) on Friday evening in the registration gym, basketball contests, Slam Dunk Contest, Dream Court competition, great food vendors, special trophy photos and more.
Because the Gus Macker Iron Mountain Event Team is so dedicated and passionate about Gus Macker Basketball and serving the needs of children and youth, all proceeds from Gus Macker sponsors and team registrations will go towards renovations for a new Imagination Factory Community Center featuring a Gus Macker Cafe. In September 2021, thanks to contributions from Gus Macker 3on3 Basketball and individuals-businesses-organizations, community leaders opened the Imagination Factory Children’s Museum.
