August 8th - 9th
By offering a wide range of facilities, the city appeals to multiple demographics:
The Bike Path: Connects the city to the natural landscape, perfect for endurance athletes and leisure travelers alike.
The Courts: Catering to the massive growth of Pickleball (currently one of the fastest-growing sports in the US) alongside classic basketball ensures the facilities are used by all ages.
World-Class Sports Complex: This serves as the anchor for "Sports Tourism," bringing in tournament revenue and putting Wellston on the map for regional competitive leagues.
Wellston is also famous for its beloved local soda, “Ski Pop,” affectionately known as “Wellston Water,” which continues to be locally distributed and enjoyed throughout the region.
We are excited to welcome Gus Macker Basketball to our community, with games held in our downtown area on the former Kuppenheimer Trouser Factory site, known locally as the “Pants Factory Lot.” Just across the road sits The Depot, a cherished community venue that hosts many local events and gatherings throughout the year. Together, these historic spaces provide a unique and vibrant setting for visitors and residents alike.
